All crafting activity produces 'off-cuts'. At One-Off Originals we have 12 years of them - dating from the first day that Gray started crafting. Fiona's mixed media 'egg' pictures using oval cut outs from one of Gray's projects for family where he works is a really great example of this. The ovals were used to provide the templates for material that was made to behave like paper by applying a water-based stabilizer which can be washed out afterwards which were then cut out to make the 'eggs'. The material used is mostly scraps collected over the years or donated to us. The 'marbled eggs' were made from the oval cut outs which were then marbled using marbling techniques. These were inserted into the squares from which the 'material' eggs were cut, mounted and displayed.
